Privacy Policy

How Ibadah handles local reading data and optional private cloud sync.

In short: Ibadah has no advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking. The app works without an account. Cloud sync is optional. Online services generate technical and security logs.

Information stored on your device

Ibadah stores your recitation counters, daily completion, favorites, reading position, reading size, theme, calendar preference, and any optional profile details you enter. This allows the app to work offline.

Optional cloud sync

If you choose optional sign-in with Apple or Google, depending on your device and app version, Supabase processes an account identifier, email, and basic profile information supplied by that provider, which can include your name and profile image URL. Ibadah then stores a private copy of your app state, including optional name, username, age, and profile email if you entered them.

This information is used only to authenticate you, synchronize your data across your devices, restore your data, secure the service, and provide support. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Technical and security logs

When you use optional online features, Supabase and its network providers process technical request information. This can include your IP address, approximate location inferred from the network, browser or device information, request times, response status and latency, and authentication events associated with your account identifier. Ibadah does not request GPS location permission.

These records support operation of the service, troubleshooting, and prevention of abuse. They are not used for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-app tracking. Reading without an account does not upload your reading state.

Service providers

Apple and Google provide optional sign-in. Supabase provides authentication, database hosting, and these public policy pages. Their processing is also governed by their own security and privacy terms. Ibadah does not receive your Apple or Google password or request access to your contacts, email messages, or files.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains on your device until you reset it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Synced information remains until you delete your Ibadah account.

You can permanently delete the account and its synced data inside Ibadah: open Settings, then use Delete account. Data already stored locally remains available offline until you clear or uninstall the app.

Technical hosting and security logs are separate from your synced reader data and may remain after account deletion under the hosting provider's retention policies. Supabase currently lists one day of API/database log retention and one hour of hosted authentication audit-log retention for our Free plan. These published log-access windows are not a guarantee that every provider-side operational, billing, backup, or security record is erased within that time. Separately stored authentication audit records may remain after account deletion.

Your choices

Children

Ibadah's intended audience is adults aged 18 and over. The app is not directed to children. An account and all profile fields are optional.
